A nude nail polish line has been introduced by Jeneba Barrie, the creator and CEO of Jeneba Barrie Nude Footwear, a premium nude shoe business owned by black women.
In 2019, Jeneba made its debut following a profitable Kickstarter campaign. The brand is a diversified and welcoming premium skin-tone (nude) shoe line committed to changing the definition of “nude” shoes from one or two tones of beige to hues that complement the wearer’s skin tone.
Nude has always been defined in a limited way. The brand is incorporating sections of the population that have been disproportionately excluded—women of color—by redefining what it means to be naked.
The firm has now introduced the Ama Loafer range, the Black Collection, the Serena Sandals Collection, and its most recent Luxurious & Rich Nude (Gel) Polish in five shades: champagne, mink, diamond, caviar, and cocoa. These collections follow the brand’s first basic nude pump range.
Customers who sign up for emails receive free shipping, free returns, and a $25 discount on their first purchase. ShopPay at the checkout allows for the use of payment plans. Additionally, gift vouchers are offered, and clients who join the waiting list are entitled to a 10% discount.
The most inclusive and diversified premium skin-tone shoe brand, Jeneba Barrie, is committed to reinventing the definition of nude shoes by switching from beige to shades that complement the wearer’s skin tone. Jeneba Barrie, the business’s founder and namesake, is an attorney, a wife, and a mother of three sons.
The brand now provides four heel lengths (50mm, 95mm, 105mm, and 120mm) in 13 skin-tone tones ranging from the peachy tone of rosè to the melanin-rich shade of cocoa truffle. The company has received media attention from Buzzfeed, Forbes, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, and other publications.
