The CEO and founder of Sistahbiz, Makisha Boothe, is pleased to present “The Suite,” a revolutionary online platform designed just for black women business owners. A remarkable team effort resulted in $1.2 million in funding to bring this transformative project to life from key sponsors and partners, including Impact Charitable, The New Community Transformation Fund, Gary Community Investments, Kenneth King Foundation, AJL Foundation, Dakota Foundation, Bold Legal, CEDS Finance, and The Colorado Trust.
Since founding Sistahbiz in 2018, Makisha has worked to empower black women entrepreneurs by providing them with access to money, technical help, training, mentorship, and a network of supportive women.
Her group has given black women entrepreneurs over $1 million in services and technical support and has done over 1,000 free business coaching calls. “The Suite” will assist the organization in expanding its sphere of influence and carrying on with its mission of promoting a thriving community of black women business leaders, eliminating racial disparities in entrepreneurship, and generating wealth via entrepreneurship across generations.
“The Suite” has several impressive features, such as:
• Resource Library: Obtain access to a vast collection of digital templates that offer priceless tools for company planning and implementation.
• Training and coaching: Business coaches and subject-matter experts offer weekly group coaching sessions, office hours, seminars, and masterclasses on running a business.
• Matchmaking: an algorithm that pairs together like-minded business friends, mentees, and mentors.
• Coworking and Workgroups: Assist other Black women entrepreneurs in specialized workgroups that concentrate on action planning and execution, as well as take part in book studies and business challenges.
• A Directory of Certified Service Providers: Make connections with certified experts in marketing, operations, law, and accounting.
On September 26, “The Suite” had a soft launch that gave a small number of people an early look at what it might do. On October 9, the official app will launch, allowing black women entrepreneurs from all backgrounds to take full advantage of this ground-breaking platform.
