Bold Kulture Beauty, an Orlando, Florida-based Black-owned hair salon and beauty supply business specializing in serving clients with natural hair, is owned by Dr. Kristal Cunningham, a proud Florida A&M University alumna with 17 years of experience as a clinical pharmacist. She’ll be converting her shop into a cosmetic pharmacy soon as well.
To enable its “kurlfriends” to accept their true selves, Bold Kulture Beauty, a cutting-edge natural hair-focused beauty shop and educator, is creating waves in the industry. Her business improves the beauty industry by providing high-quality, minority-owned goods, services, and education that celebrate and encourage natural beauty. It does this by serving a varied and thriving natural community.
Dr. Kristal started the business two years ago as a symbol of inclusion, promoting uniqueness and self-expression in a society that often enforces strict aesthetic standards. The business understands that beauty comes in various sizes, colors, and textures and seeks to create a platform where everyone feels recognized and represented. They encourage their “kurlfriends” to take up space and reclaim their power back.
“At Bold Kulture Beauty, we firmly believe that beauty should not be confined to societal norms but rather, a personal journey of self-love and self-discovery,” she says. Our ‘girlfriends’ are inspired by our myth-busting education, natural hair professionals, and encouraging network to reclaim their power and bravely embrace their natural journey.
We provide a wide range of goods catered to our customer’s requirements for their distinctive skin and hair textures, from our carefully chosen lineup of skincare solutions to our curl-poppin’ assortment of natural hair care products. We prioritize Black-owned businesses while ensuring that our goods are suitable for the target market.
