Allen’s book tour for “What Goes Unspoken: How School Leaders Address DEI Beyond Race” will feature fireside conversations with notable speakers where she will address DEI in both theory and practice.
Krystal Hardy Allen, an author and entrepreneur, is traveling to spread her message of inclusion, equity, and diversity. She is now on the road to her first national book tour, supporting her book, What Goes Unspoken: How School Leaders Address DEI Beyond Race, as the CEO and founder of K. Allen Consulting.
Allen lectures and offers resources to education leaders and administrators on focusing DEI within their practices and policies by drawing on her experiences as a teacher, principal, and current worldwide educational consultant.
“I want to help readers better understand their role as a leader within their school or district’s DEI work and how the intrapersonal work they do also influences key decisions that can lead to a more inclusive and equitable school or district,” said Allen.
Pre-orders for What Goes Unspoken are currently being accepted at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Books-A-Million. Dr. Avis Williams, the first black woman to be superintendent of the New Orleans Public Schools, participated in the tour’s opening event in New Orleans on October 5.
