Allen lectures and offers resources to education leaders and administrators on focusing DEI within their practices and policies by drawing on her experiences as a teacher, principal, and current worldwide educational consultant.
“I want to help readers better understand their role as a leader within their school or district’s DEI work and how the intrapersonal work they do also influences key decisions that can lead to a more inclusive and equitable school or district,” said Allen.

Pre-orders for What Goes Unspoken are currently being accepted at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Books-A-Million. Dr. Avis Williams, the first black woman to be superintendent of the New Orleans Public Schools, participated in the tour’s opening event in New Orleans on October 5.
